Learning to swim is fun!

Swimming is a life experience. It empowers us to take on new tasks and try new things. Most importantly, it provides us with the skills to be safe in the water and enjoy it.

South Sound Swim and Safety provides swim based programming focusing on helping participants build confidence and strength through conditioning. Water safety through swim instruction teaches youth from a young age to respect the water while learning how to have fun safely. As we continue to partner with community organizations we strive to bring drowning prevention education to the south Puget Sound area.

We offer private swim instruction to both children and adults in Auburn and the surrounding area (Maple Valley, Covington and Kent). We are trained and equipped to work with ages 6 months through adults. We offer affordable private and a small program size (with a ratio of 3 children to 1 instructor). Prices start at only $30 per lesson, with a yearly registration fee of $40 for a child or $55 per family.

The pool is located at Black Diamond Camp in Auburn Washington in the Granite Mountain Adventure Building.

Our programs are always open!

Classes do fill up fast —  To register for classes go to the registration portal! We are currently in our summer sessions. We have a July session and an August session. Registration is also open for the 2022-2023 Season. Classes start September 6th.

About Us

Individualized Swim Programs

With a maximum of 3 children per instructor, we can give each child our fullest attention and tailor the skills to each child’s unique needs. Confident swimmers are challenged, while timid swimmers get the time and attention they need to thrive.
