Adaptive Aquatics for Special and Medical Needs
We’ve worked with Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists so we can better accommodate children with special needs such as autism, speech delays, motor skills delays, and other developmental concerns. From utilizing basic sign language with kids who don’t yet speak, to integrating exercises in the water to help with motor development and breath control, we work to understand your child’s needs and tailor our lessons to suit their comfort level and their current skills. Please just let us know how we can accommodate your child when you register. We want to create a calm, safe environment for your child to learn to enjoy the water!
If you have an occupational therapist who would like to join your child in the water, coordination is definitely possible! Please just let us know your needs when you register.

I have a couple of questions:
1. What is adaptive swimming look like compared to regular swimming on a general
basis?
2. Tell me a little bit about what your organization is doing too get more people with
disabilities to swim?
3. When it comes to teaching a person with a disability how to swim, what tools and
strategies do you use to allow that person to swim based on whatever needs/
conditions they may have?
4. Who are the stakeholders involved in this process, generally speaking when it comes
to swimming with a person who has a disability?
5. When impact is adaptive swimming lessons have on not only the individual, but also
the community?
6. How can adaptive swimming make a difference in the lives of people with
disabilities?
I’m looking for someone to interview.
Best,
Laszlo Jajczay
